In the world of hair removal, choosing the right wax for your melter makes all the difference between a pleasant experience and an uncomfortable process for your clients.
Mossi offers waxes with different textures: fine, intermediate and pasty. The texture of the wax has a great influence on the speed of the work when carried out in the office, because depending on the texture it can take more or less time to wax. For example, the less wax you apply and remove straight away, you'll save a lot of time. The more wax you apply and wait to remove, will make you wait longer with your client.
This variety allows professionals to choose the most suitable wax for each type of skin and hair, and for different seasons: summer or winter.
Waxes are developed for professional use to achieve effective hair removal and soft, smooth skin results. Most waxes on the market are synthetic and contain pentaerythrityl rosinate, which makes them more unstable in summer and more damaging to the skin. That's why we shouldn't look at wax as something that's just for pulling out hair, without looking any further.
Mossi Epil waxes contain less colophonium and more glyceryl rosinate. Let's consider the advantages of each of these components.
Colophonium
• Natural resin extracted from pine;
• Portuguese resin (Portugal has one of the best resins in the world, including exports to several countries around the world).
Glyceryl rosinate
• Helps the wax's elasticity, which makes it more malleable;
• Does not dry out as quickly;
• No instability when the seasons change;
• Helps reduce the price of wax;
• Wax doesn't stick very much.
In the case of refill waxes, we have "MEL" waxes with natural essences.
Canned waxes are considered more economical and allow the professional to apply the wax layer as desired, optimising the use of the product.
Some waxes are developed to meet specific needs, such as the "Zinc-Argan Wax" for sensitive skin, or the "Creamy Pink Wax" which promises less painful epilation.
Mossi Epil also has pre- and post-epilation products, such as the Pre-Epilation Toner, which stands out for its improved formula and natural ingredients (aloe vera, chamomile, arnica montana, ivy, cucumber, elderberry, linden and parietaria) that soothe, refresh and protect the skin, preparing it for epilation and reducing irritation. And Rice Powder, which stands out for its better adherence to the hair while protecting the skin.
We have several alternatives for post-epilation treatments, depending on the tastes of the professional and the client. We have something fresh and ideal for summer, 99% pure aloe vera gel, and for colder temperatures we have massage oils or candles to apply after epilation. Cosmetics that can be used in any season because their temperature is natural: Passion Fruit and Vanilla Emulsion, Sily Touch Massage Milk and Hair Retardant Emulsion are excellent moisturisers for the skin.
The choice of heaters used for each refill wax is very important, as there are waxes that are specific to certain melter powers.
At Mossi, as well as advising on the most suitable wax, we advise on the correct equipment even if you don't have our melters. Depending on the power, we will advise you on which waxes to use for your working method. For example, if you're familiar with our waxes, you'll realise that we have waxes for foundrymen with a power rating of 20 to 30 watts with a thermostat (MED waxes) and we have waxes for foundrymen with a power rating of 30 to 50 watts with a thermostat (MED and MEL waxes).
